Turadh offers the opportunity for rest, renewal and nature connection to anyone working for the common good in Scotland.
We believe that everyone benefits from time to slow down and soak up the beauty of wild places, and that this should not be an unaffordable luxury for only a few.
We run three beautiful holiday homes where we welcome people from across all walks of life in Scotland: community leaders, campaigners and carers, land workers, health workers, community artists and activists. Many of those who stay with us come for a much-needed break from running community organisations such as food-banks and advice centres, or from working in challenging and often underfunded public services. Some guests come looking for space and time to complete work or plan a new project. Others are simply seeking a place to press pause and experience the deep nourishment of being in the wild.
We welcome applications from anyone based in Scotland who is working to make life better for people and planet. We also accept applications from families who have not been able to afford a holiday in recent years. Most guests are referred by partner organisations, but we also accept self-referrals. You can find out more about all our accommodation as the process of applying to stay with us here.
“The rest this Turadh has afforded me has felt sacred. It is such a haven, a place of deep care, kindness and replenishment.”

For organisations
We partner with organisations across Scotland who refer staff, volunteers and beneficiaries for low-cost (and occasionally no-cost) breaks with us. Please download a flyer to share in your organisation here. If you would like to explore a possible partnership, do contact us.
